The Defense Department is huge, has enormous amounts of stuff to unload, and can make millions doing it, which they undoubtedly plow back into readiness or procurements. The incentive is to move as much as they can as quick as they can. It's inexcusable that they would even be selling any Tomcat parts, knowing that Iran has the only fleet left. But as SR says, these would be blasted out of the sky in hours in any confrontation with the US. Maybe the Pentagon will tighten things up after this exposure.
