If you work for a legitimate company.

I don't get a paycheck since I am self employed. I get whatever is left over after expenses state and federal quarterly along with dbl the ssi that employed people pay.

I would prefer to increase the amount of my taxes going to the war and reduce that which goes to the rest of the bs. Keep the rate the same and designate where you want it to go: roads, war, welfare to the lazy, rebuilding repeatedly flooded and weather damaged areas inhabited by the ignorant, more gubmnt workers (sorry for the oxymoron), healthcare/social services for illegal aliens, studies and/or litigation to prevent companies from using any wood products so that flies and slugs that few have ever seen can live to eat each other and so the forests will naturally burn them selves up, killing whatever it was you wanted to save in the first place, etc.

Bottom line: The military, including the war, is about 25% of the current budget and there are plenty of other areas I would rather not pay for. And I know quite a few people who are in the military, many who have already been to Iraq and looking forward to going back to finish the job, whether it is popular with you or not.

And according to my next door neighbor who is a gubmnt auditor and a very good friend, there is nothing close to a civil war going on there. A civil war has sides and there are no sides there. The majority want it over with and a few want chaos. How does he know? He spent 6 months there last year auditing the rebuilding effort around the country. Baghdad is the problem - not the whole country. Guess what? That is where the next batch of troops are headed.
