To quote a great American general, "No one ever won a war by dying for his country. Wars are won by making the other SOB die for his country."

I simply do not understand this penchant the ASP has for running away. Now I do understand there is a difference of opinion as to whether or not we should have gone to Iraq in the first place--but regardless of the opinion anyone holds in that matter, the fact remains that we are there.

Remember that even John Kerry voted to enable this before he voted against it. This didn't happen in a vacuum. Most of the ASP members of Congress who are now so wildly indignant were once firm supporters of ridding the world in general, and Iraq in particular, of Saddam.

The left has tried long and hard to equate the war in Iraq witht he war in Viet Nam. In one (and possibly only one) sense they appear to be right--Their extremely vocal and (they claim) loyal opposition serves to support the terrorists and cause increased casualties among American troops.

President Reagan summed it up nicely, "Some people go through their entire lives wondering if they made a difference, Marines don't have that problem!!!"
