They're not ready?

They've been ready for the occupation to leave for years. They were ready the moment people started picking up guns and putting bombs along the roads. Guerrilla fighters have been operating all over the country for quite some time, hell, one of the major leaders is the only reason the government is still around. Baghdad is just one of the areas where fighting is going on, and it also happens to be one of the major population centers. There are also entire provinces that the American commanders have been saying for over a year cannot be held, due to insurgent activity. But you and your colleagues would rather pretend that everything's going just swell, and it's all the fault of Howard Dean, Micheal Moore, or whoever the hell you're shifting the fault onto this week.

It is a bleak picture, and it's not going to get any better until we leave.
