Speaking of amnesty and religion, I didn't see, hear or read Obama's  Thanksgiving Proclamation but I understand from some articles I've read that he used the sign of the cross over the turkey.  This would appear to have some significance known only to Obama and his handlers. 

But it smacks of what I said earlier.  Political gamesmanship. Was he using religion to make a point or was it something more insidious - you know, like making fun of Catholics?

Regardless, it's a poor show from a US President.  In my opinion it would be poor show for anyone, except maybe St Francis.  Turkeys don't need blessed.  They need to be eaten.
