Yeah its really not that big a deal. Its not the problem conservatives wish it were or that liberals claim it is. Liberals for the most part are just reactiing to yet another in a long sordid history, factual, of attempts by conservatives at voter suppression. The factual history of conservative voter suppression cannot be denied, it was mainly from southern conservatives and the black vote but its pretty consistent among conservatives in general from conservative USSC rulings to state legislatures on down. Its a rearguard action by the mostly white male conservative against the changing voter demographics and they're just hoping for enough percentages and numbers. But again its really not as big a deal as the wedge issue its become.
