I remember the first time I found a copy of None Dare Call It Treason. It's still hard to believe that book wasn't an elaborate joke, or that anyone would actually believe that swill. And no, government has nothing to do with the self righteous hypocrisy and petty spite that have become such a key part of modern conservatism. For someone who constantly goes on about how government isn't the answer, it's quite telling how quick you are to blame it for the failings of your party.
It's NOT MY PARTY.  And of no interest to anyone, I did NOT VOTE.  It's not my vote that helped set up the events that lead to the humiliation of the Democrats to a defeat of historic significance.  It would have been a sweet victory if I had cast my vote as yes, it would have been Republican  but I had no doubt of the national outcome and knew Corbett would lose in PA regardless of whether I voted or not.   So I didn't.

Locally, there wasn't anyone on the ballot that I cared about one way or the other.  At least I want some passion in my voting.  However, that doesn't preclude me from stating my opinions on the outcome.  The 1st Amendment still retains its original intent to some of us.
