Hi char,

Quote:
char: "Iowan, I see you'd rather argue with Al Gore than with me, and I don't blame you. Have fun. Maybe he has a website you can post on."

Your 'arguments' are, for all intents and purposes, the same as Gore's.

Quote:
char: "Government action was necessary to deal with overpopulation and with acid rain, as you well know."

Specifically, what 'government action' was taken to deal with overpopulation?

Quote:
char: "Is global warming in this category too? I think it is, but you're willing to roll the dice."

I'm fully aware that you have taken Gore's Wager and have decided that you will profess belief in GW.

Quote:
iowan15: "Just recently I read where the EU countries that are signatories are emitting more CO2 now than before they went Kyoto green."

char: "I'm not terribly surprised. I hear Canada is doing even worse. But they're doing better than if they'd never tried to limit the increase in their emissions, and there's always the next round, in which the world's biggest polluter may eventually join."

As I said before, for many in the GW conglomerate, nothing can possibly count against their premise. If CO2 emissions had decreased, that confirms the wisdom of Kyoto. If CO2 emissions increase, as they have, that also confirms the wisdom of Kyoto. The premise determines a priori the interpretation of the 'data'.

Quote:
char: "Or not, if people like you are still in charge. The adults can but try to convince you to wake up. It's a democracy."

Wake up to what? That the sky is, indeed, falling? That's called assuming your conclusion, char. But then, you knew that.

Quote:
char: "Exult in the triumph of ignorance."

Your ongoing begging of the question and whining continues unabated. But doom and gloom does provide purpose to some people's lives.

Quote:
char: "It usually wins in the short run. Congratulations. Remember this in thirty years."

Should I live that long, I'll be in my 70s by then, so I make no promises as to what I will or will not remember. :)

And your whining is duly noted. :)

later, bud. iowan15
