Gravity is a theory, it seems to work well enough--at least locally--but we don't make any changes based upon the theory.

Evolution is a theory, it too seems to apply--but again we don't make changes based upon acceptance of it.

Nuclear energy is not theoretical, it was a demonstrable fact prior to generating any changes (but I believe it is considered "scientific" with regard to the knowledge).

What you appear to be searching for is something along the line of an empirical process--and yes mathematics is considered empirical--along with all non-theoretical science.

Emprical means it may be duplicated--alas (for you) global warming is strictly theoretical.

All you (and others) demand is acceptance of a theory you love with no empirical evidence. With that acceptance you want nothing more than a total restructuring of society--I suppose that seems little enough to ask, from your stand-point.

President Reagan summed it up nicely, "Some people go through their entire lives wondering if they made a difference, Marines don't have that problem!!!"
