Comes the light...... finally I understand the politics of global warming more than ever. Reading this article points to the socialism of global warming. The need for socialists to spread the wealth of rich nations to the poor ones. They couldn't get the US to go along with Kyoto because capitalism has always been so strong in the US, even though most liberals hate the concept of it. But now the truth is emerging and the stealth of this endeavor is amazing.

Nature - Carbon Economy

........The CDM covers all six Kyoto Protocol gases (CO2, methane, nitrous oxide, hydrofluorocarbons, perfluorocarbons and sulphur hexafluoride), and although even China and India have embraced the system, the incentives for building low-carbon energy infrastructure haven't been effective. Instead, almost 30% of the CDM credits currently come from capturing and destroying trifluoromethane (HFC-23), a by-product of the manufacture of refrigerant gases. HFC-23 is easy and cheap to capture and destroy - industrialized nations do so voluntarily. It would be considerably cheaper for industrialized nations to pay for the installation of the technology to capture and destroy the HFC-23 and eliminate that from the list of possibilities for the trading scheme.

We pay for their advancement into lower emissions standards. Problem is we'll be paying an even greater share because we have so much more to give up. We'll lose more than they'll gain, no matter how much money and technology we pour into them.

That's the problem with socialism/communism. It can't work over the long haul. So even though humans may be the source of some of the global warming, there are too many 3rd worlders for even the richest nations to bring out of their misery. The most likely scenario is that it will even the playing field by making everyone poor and miserable. Just exactly what do-gooder liberals want.
