The IPCC presented their facts and figures, and this comprehensive study can't be rebutted by referring to one or two measures taken over a short period of time. Besides, I don't see how the anomalies are any better explained by the solar hypothesis than the greenhouse gas hypothesis.

It's nonsense to suggest that scientists are afraid to deny GW for financial reasons. The easiest way to get money in climate research today is to be a GW doubter; Exxon-Mobil alone provides large amounts of funding. Besides, most of these guys have safe jobs or tenure. They have nothing to fear by saying what they think is true.

You have still never answered my question: If the recent rises in temperature are due to both the sun and greenhouse gas, why doesn't it make sense to work on the one we have some influence over?
