Part of Gingrich's appeal is that he's not declared. Once he is, all the old news about his multiple ugly divorces, slimy book deals, serial unfaithfulness, and arrogant overreaching in the House will be hashed over. He fancies himself a big thinker and in some ways he is, compared to the intellectual pygmies who look good on TV. But his act will grow old fast, just as it did in the 1990s. Clinton handed him his political head then by outthinking him, and that isn't going to be forgotten.
