sr,

If Obama's statement is dead-on, then  it cuts both ways, sr. Obama and the Dems were given the keys to government solely based on anger at Bush and on the fear they stoked over the economy. If Obama's statement is dead-on, then his election was not the result of a clear thinking electorate. According to Dr. Obama, we are hardwired such that fear and frustration prevent clear thinking.

Further, Obama continues his attempts to raise fear and anger, warning that if Democrats are voted out, the nation will abandon persistently high unemployment and annual deficits of $1 trillion for as far as the eye can see and revert the the horrible Bush years of 5.5% unemployment and annual deficits of $165 billion. By his own criterion, Obama's attempts to scare people will prevent the very thing he complains is now lacking among the electorate - clear thinking.

And it is quite clear from your little fit that you, like Obama, haven't a clue about what drives opposition to the Dems and their governance. Your post only serves to prove that point.

Where I disagreed with Bush, I expressed my disagreements. In my view, he was wrong on amnesty, wrong to expand Medicare prescription drug coverage, and wrong to try to match the Dems penchant for federal spending. The Republicans did a lousy job of controlling federal spending. I said so at the time. But Bush and the Reps were Scrooge-like misers compared to Obama and the Dems.

And, once again, I'll simply repeat that it's not at all clear why Obama and the Dems thinks that belittling American voters who oppose him and his party as irrational will convince those voters to vote Democrat.
